It took the Nascom team about 20 mins to create this image on the office windows.
Now we wait and see if the MAD teachers & students across respond.

*Update* Looks like we got a response. Nice job!

Start!

I have decided I would like to start something new on the side.

Doing what?

Making shoes!

Not kidding.

Shifting from user experience design to fashion design,
all I need is a boyfriend and the transformation would be complete.

Chances are this is going nowhere as I know 0 about shoes,
but let's say that's just a small detail for now.

The joy of traveling solo

A philosophy that clashes with what most of my friends and relatives think.
They get stunned with limiting beliefs:

  • You will be extremely lonely
  •  You will be lost without help
  •  You will have nobody to talk to
  •  You will have nobody to share the experience with
  •  You will be an easy target for con artists and robbery

These are just some of the worries they express.
Well, none of that is true. With the right attitude that is.

Advantages are numerous:

  • You can travel at your own pace
  • You force yourself to develop socially
  • You will be extremely flexible
  • You will meet tons of new people
  • Your experience will be much deeper and rewarding

This accounts for both men and woman. While men may have a slight advantage when it comes to saftey and security, it’s defaintly as liberating – if not even more - for woman.

There is something really soothing about enjoying a new country on yourself. It may sound silly, but I find it rewarding for example to figure out local transportation by myself. The same for discovering local food or enjoy the fine art of eaves dropping and listing to another language.

As a solo traveler you can make impuls decesions. Your flexibility also accounts for interactions with locals. Let’s say you are a chouchsurfer: It’s easier for your host to just have you, than you and a plus one.

Bonus for if you are single: you’ll probably run into some of the best romances of your life.
